Grandchildren!

Vivienne is almost 4 weeks old!

Grandma was able to visit Pete & Anne's girls today. Grandma and Gen went to the story time at the library. Then she watched both girls while mom had a little rest, uninterrupted for a change.

New Windows, New Weather

October is the season of colored leaves falling in the wind and rain. Usually. But not this year. We have had some beautiful days with some trees in beautiful colors. But today is the second day of snow!!! The first snowfall melted quickly. Today it is like a beautiful fairy land outside. The snow is coming down very gently. There is no wind and it feels mild outside. Our back yard trees still have green leaves. The big oak leaves form an umbrella so not as much snow is filtering down through them. The branches are all covered with an inch or more of snow. The grass is well covered. It is really strange to have the snow with the leaves. We expect that this will melt also in a day or so. But it is a peaceful experience right now.
I have included some pictures of our latest house project. We had windows and our patio door replaced. Hopefully you can see the snow out the window! The bathroom window is still in the process. Larry has to stain the new board and then varnish the window sill and frame. The others are completed and the curtains are back up. I am still putting back knick knacks and house plants. We hope that the new windows will make a difference in our heating bill this year.
We are still working on pictures of our trip and visiting Vivienne and her family. I may have a new picture to share tomorrow since I will take Gen to the library and hope to get another picture of Vivienne then.
