Marlys went to Chicago Aug 9-12 for the gathering of Covenant Women which happens every three years. Over 1200 women arrived from all over the USA and the world. Some of the best parts of the event for me are the foreign guests. I stayed on the 18th floor at the Hyatt/McCormick on Lake Michigan. We had a Fun Run on Saturday morning right along the pier. The music and worship was inspiring and the classes I took were informative. We were able to send a message to our legislators about the suffering in Darfur. The 11 hour van ride helped solidify new friendships.
