The New Year has started in a beautiful way - fresh snow, clear skies (occasionally), cold, crisp weather. For a couple of days it is too cold to play outside for long, but nicer weather is coming. It is hard to believe that 22 degrees is nice but really if the wind isn't blowing, it is pretty nice outside.
School vacations are over. AWANA started again tonight (WED). Our Christmas decorations stay up at least until Jan. 6th - Epiphany - when the Wise Men are celebrated. We have done some after Christmas shopping. In fact, we bought a new scanner/printer/fax/copier today at Office Max at the grand opening of the store in Monticello.
Our New Year's Celebrations were with square dancers. Over seven squares (60 people) attended the club dance on Dec. 31st. What a great group of people. We ate all evening at the pot luck table. We danced until after midnight. Everyone helped with the clean up and we were out of there by 1 a.m. I've included a couple of pictures of Abe our caller and the dancers.
To all of our friends and family - Happy New Year and God's Blessings to you and your families from LarMar
