Christmas letter 2016

Merry Christmas from Larry & Marlys   2016

God has been faithful.   He walks through the storms with us.  He never abandons us. We can count on His presence.
Larry has weathered a bout with skin cancer.  He had a large sore removed from his leg – it has healed beautifully.  He also has good reports from his kidney doctor and his prostate cancer is very microscopic so no treatment but just continued monitoring every six months.
Our granddaughter, Rajah, had bouts with fainting and was finally found to need a pacemaker.  She hasn’t had any episodes since that surgery and she has been able to continue her normal activities.  She just performed in her third play with Front Porch theater.  This time it was Beauty and the Beast, Jr.

God has been faithful as he guides our lives and leads us into how to serve Him.
Marlys has been busy with Women Ministries of the Northwest Conference.  Her team hired a new consultant who works part time to support the board.  Her three year term will be finished in March at the next Renewal.  Plans are moving forward for that event.
Anna has moved to a different job at Scout headquarters in Sartell.  Anne has also taken on a different job at the Stearns County courthouse in St. Cloud.

God was faithful in bringing us back to visit Taiwan one more time.
Larry and Marlys accepted the invitations from Eva & Peggie’s parents to visit them in Taiwan.  We spent Chinese New Year with their families.  We also reconnected with many of our friends from our past three mission trips.  Facebook is a great way to keep in touch.

God is faithful to give us health, a loving family, many, many friends and a church family too.  What a blessing to have our family close enough to attend concerts and school events.  Rajah and Spencer are taking square dance lessons with us this year.   We keep active with square dancing (since college days) and teaching preschool children at MOPS.  At church, Marlys teaches a Bible study and Sunday School.  Larry is a greeter and on the tech team to live stream video to the overflow church in the youth room.

May we be found faithful in response to the wonderful gift of Jesus Christ.  He came to earth as a baby, but stayed to die for our sins.  May you get to know this Savior in a personal way this year.  For God is Faithful!
