The second stop was in Pawhuksa, Oklahoma. We stayed in the Black Gold Motel. Black Gold as in OIL. We started seeing oil wells in the southern part of Kansas and through OK. Our first stop was in Stokes Cemetery to see the new gravestones which Eric had placed on the graves of Lucy (Rale) Crane and her brother, Charles Rale. We shared family history info with Eric and even visited his aunt the next day.
Our Wilson/Rale Book is full of family stories.
