Oklahoma homecoming

We entered Oklahoma again on Thursday and drove to Oklahoma City. We were meeting with Austin, another Taiwan English teacher. We met for supper and shared photos of our experiences in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He is a remarkable young man who is planning to return for a second year. We were impressed with his goals in life and how he is using his 'vacation' time for the Lord.

We also visited his church and saw a little of the Wednesday night programming. We were surprised to find the church located in a strip mall!

By the time we headed to our hotel, we got a night view of the Capitol. Sue said they just built the dome a few years ago. It sure was beautiful. We missed getting the large Indian on the top. It was too dark to come out on the photo.

Friday we arrived in Sapulpa via Route 66. We have been there ever since, visiting our cousins. Watch for the snow pictures on the next blog.
